I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
